The computer was tediously explaining the definition of dancing to the captain, and the sweet dancing is just flit through the space ship. Wall-E and Eve used their behavior to show the meaning of dancing. The mankind forgot the splendid art that they had before, but their inventions are simply and realistically pursuing it.
Mary and John, they saw the real value of the world suddenly, with their own eyes. High technological communication equipment cannot separate their human emotions anymore. Then, their hands clasp together unconsciously. At that time, the radiance of human was shown on the screen. Since then, audiences can feel the human emotions bit by bit.
There is a profound irony in the movie which is robot has the human emotions, but human doesn’t have. This kind of situation is shown in the whole movie. However, this is a positive movie, so human was changed by Wall-E and Eve at the end, but this is also an irony. There is another social problem that audiences can easily find. Human invented these robots, but they have to follow the robots. So audiences can see the scene which is auto pilot dominated the captain. Luckily, human recaptured the power of control from the auto pilot. As far, why this kind of event was shown to audiences? Maybe, the moviemakers want to tell people: Don’t be lazy, do it yourself.

Dear Miss.Yu,
I have to say that you make me hate watching movies, beacuse We have to do lots of works during we are watching movies, and after the moives.
I was really enjoy the movie, and I was not enjoy the class. I really want to watch a movie integrallty, and It shouldn't be "watching", "writing", "watching", and " writing".
Even worse, we have to write an essay when the movie is not finished. What is going to happen after the movie? Is there a new essay that we have to write?
Last, I know my words are useless, and we will do the same thing tomorrow which is "wathcing", "writing", "watching", and "writing". If my words make you feel unhappy, you can just forger about these, and I will not argue about this anymore.


There are noting special of Wall-E, and also The City Of Ember. People make movies, then movies help them to earn money. Audiences can get fun from moives, and moviemakers get benefit. Wall-E is just another product of moviemakers, even though there are some deep meaning in the movie. Different people might have different thinking on one movie, for me, the robot Wall-E symbolizes the kindness, naiveness of human. Also it is in sharp contrast to the future mankind. As far the ending, it will be very beautiful, beacause the first half shows vitality(green plant), love ( Wall-E, Eve), and inflexibility ( Wall-E's love to Eve) to audiences. Hence, I guess there is a satisfactory in the end.

About Drawing

I had been hated drawing for about 16 years. When I was 7 years old, my parents told me that "you should learn drawing, and more skills is good for you". Their words aggravated the already disagreeable feeling of mine. So the word "Drawing" is far away from me for 10 years.
Since last night, I found my attitude about drawing is changed.
No! Jesus! Unexpectedly, my drawing skill is not so bad, at least it is not as worse as I thought.
What is real outlaw look like? I have no idea with myself.

Look at the news. The Liverpool FC fans were the most happiness people last weekend, and I am a member of them too, because I love Liverpool FC.

I have to mention that Allen is a Manchester United FC follower. We are partners in School, but on the green field, we are enemies forever. The reason is Liverpool and Manchester United are enemies for more than 100 years, and it will last unitl the end of our Earth.

I am still thinking...

Sorry, Miss.Yu. I don’t know the theme of The Lottery. The reason is: I am not the author; I cannot know what he is really wanted to say to the earthling. To parse a narrative is a good way to understand the theme of a story, but it is just guess. The details of a narrative can show lots of useful information to the readers, but the mind of an author is still sealed. For example, if a people stand with his friend face to face. He is able to feel the mood of his friend from their conversation, but he is not able to find the real thinking of his friend. Thus, we cannot understand each other completely. I am confused about why we study narratives, more exactly is why I should study narratives. I thought about this question for a long time, and I get some answers. (Just for me). First, I must to finish my high school, and go to university, so I have to learn these things. Second, knowledge is power, to learn more is not bad for me, and I can learn so many form narratives. Third, some of these narratives are masterpieces, it can improve my sentiment. Base on these reasons, I have to study narratives, and think about those questions that are on the sheet.

I like the story, and the ending is my favorite part. It is so unexpected. The story tells us a horrible traditional game, but the really scared part is just in a flash. The author used a long part to prepare the unexpected ending, he did it, and it is enough shocked. My idea is: the most important point of the story is people, and is not the title “lottery”. The theme is people oriented, no matter the one is male or female. All the people in the world have power to live, and nobody can bereave this kind of power. To care about self is not selfish; it is instinctive appetency of live. In addition I have an idea of why the people are glad to take the cruel lottery. Maybe they like to see the miserable situation of a poor people, because they get fun from this, I think this is called Roman holiday. This is a dark side of human nature, and the author is attacking the dark side of human nature.

This is what I think about this story and it might be wrong. I don’t like to take apart a story and parse every sentence. Maybe this is not a good way to learn, but I prefer to sum up the main ideas after I read (I won’t do this on an exam, I don’t want to against with my marks). In the end, my opinion of The Lottery might be quite different from the author’s real thinking, but at least this is my real thinking.

Mid-autumn Festival

Mid-autumn Festival is a traditional Chinese festival. It falls on the 15th day of August, in lunar calendar A few days before the festival; everyone in the family will help to make the house clean and beautiful. Lanterns will be hung in front of the house.
There will be a big family dinner on the mid-autumn festival. People who work far away from their homes will try to come back for the union. At night the moon is usually round and bright. All the families set together and enjoy the round, bright moon.
There are two legends about the mid-autumn festival.

A:

There were ten suns around the Earth, the temperature of the ground was so high, and people were not able to farm. There was a skillful archer named Hou Yi, and he was the strongest man at that time. He shot nine of the suns down. The Earth was saved by him. As his reward, the Heavenly Queen Mother gave Hou Yi the Elixir to help him became to an immortal hero. Hou Yi had a beautiful wife named Chang-Er. Chang-Er did not want to Hou Yi becomes to a God, and she wanted to live with Hou Yi forever. Chang-Er stole the elixir from her husband. One day, there was an enemy of Hou Yi came to Hou Yi’s house, but there was just Chang-Er in the house. Chang-Er had to eat the elixir to save her life. Then, she fled to the moon. She was not able to back to the Earth, and because she lives in the moon, she invented the moon cakes.




B:

During the Yuan Dynasty, there was an underground group led named Zhu Yuan Zhang. He wanted to save the country from Mongolian dominance. He and his insurrectionary were not so powerful at the beginning. They put the little pieces of paper into cakes to communicate with each other. After a long time, Zhu Yuan Zhang and his insurrectionary won the battle, he had become the emperor of China. People keep the tradition of eating moon cakes to remember Zhu Yuan Zhang’s achievement.

What a “bird”!

What a “bird”! I like the “bird” in Peter’s tableaux, even though the bird is not important to the story.
Tableaux give me a new cognition of performance. In other words, I like the way to study stories. I did not clearly understand the main points of The Veldt after I read it. As a matter of fact, I have no interest in this story.
I can pay more attention at the story by taking a tableau. This is why I like tableaux. We opened our mind when we were preparing, and lighted our passion when we were taking our tableaux. For example, if Miss. Yu gives a long story to Max, and say:” Max, this is what are we going to do today, read it now!” Max’s idea is self-evident, he will not read it, and he will waste his time. Sorry Max! This is just an example. Hence, study in tableaux can help some student willing to study and including me.
In the end, I hope we could have more tableaux than long…long…long…stories.

About Plato

I am going to talk about a famous and eloquent scholar. We are always reminded of his students, but we neglect him:Plato, who was a lofty ideologist, actually should be proud of himself. He exhibited completely his ideology in the human history. In fact, the things I am going to talk about of Plato are the real history in ancient Greece.

Sparta was one of the most powerful countries in ancient Greece. Most of the arrogant Spartans were warriors. They were keen on fight, and boycotted scholars. They stopped immigrants settling down in Sparta. The Spartans chose the stronger babies, and the thinner and weaker babies were abandoned. The scholars were segregated in this country, and they could not communicate with each other. The Spartans used force to solve problems and used force to custody their benefit; the strongest man had the power to give verdicts. These are the pedestals of this country, and these things degraded the Spartans, but we have to admit that the most developed social system --Utopia was produced by this wild country.
The first advocate of Utopia was Plato; he called the Utopia “the dream country”. As the name suggests, we can know Utopia just exists in a dream. It is just the affection of some ideologist, but on the other side, the Utopia ferried some people who lived in poverty from the real pain to the dummy blessedness. Lots of people said Plato was the typical day-dreamer, also the archon(the leader of the ancient Greece), they thought that Plato violated the regime of Greece. So Plato got the persecution from the archon, he was detained for a long time then vacated Greece, or we can say he was banished from Greece. Undoubtedly, this small campaign of Plato’s life would make his heart stronger. Plato integrated into other countries soon, he still keep his Utopia and extended this dream. Although there was impugnation of Plato, he still was the pioneer of ideology. Plato was a comprehensive scholar. We still like to talk about Plato’s theories of love and education today. His theories are so popular now. Plato was a real hero, he clasped his whole life, and his wisdom to fight against emptiness.
After many years Plato was back. People gave him a warm welcome, and a big ceremony, because he triumphed right over might. In addition the goal of his return was to finish his dream, and he appealed to build a campus named: The Plato campus; he spent half of his life finishing this supreme campus. This conspicuous campus helped Plato to extend his declaration of Utopia and other knowledge.
Plato, a great ideologist, unveiled a new page of human history. His theories are still valuable. We thank him for his contributions to us.

I love this stroy so much, it tell us a truth that "Labor vanquished all", so I try to work hard, and try my best to do something.
This was my first time worked with Mike and Candy. I was really enjoy my new group, and we got along with each other. The pity of the presentation is I was not able to work with both of my partners simultaneously.
The topic of our presentation is "Hyperbole and understatement". I worked on poster with one of my team-mate:Candy. She is the only girl in our group. Candy is good at painting, most of the part of our poster was drown by her. Although she did not come to school on Friday, I should say:"Thanks for your contribution to our group." The theme of our poster is :Terse language, Vivid images, and make the audience can see our poster easily, clearly. Actually, we achieved our purpose.
Candy did not come to school on Friday, so the burden of the presentation was held in my and mike's hands. We have to do the presentation by ourselves. We did the presentation well, even though we lost a member. Mike tried his best to speak English, and he did what little he can.
I was enjoy my first presentation in English 11 Class, and I try to work with some new partners, such is the fact, I can work with new partners very well. Last, but most importantly,
"Labor vanquished all".

This is Outlaw

My name is Linfeng Xu, my English name was T-mac before, but now is outlaw, sounds like a bad guy, isn’t it? This name is from a NBA player who is named “OUTLAW”.

I am 16 years old, born in Fujian province, south of China. I went to Hebei to get a good education when I was 7 years old. Now, I am in Beijing. Beijing is the best educational centre in China. To have the best diploma in the world is my final goal, so I work very hard every day.

I am an athletic boy, I love sports. Such as basketball, soccer, pool and so on.

I often go to play basketball with my classmates at weekend, and participate in some competition. I have few chances to play soccer, because there are few places to play soccer in Beijing, but soccer always is my favorite sport. So I think if I can go to Canada to continued my high school career I will get more chances to play soccer.

I think sports just are my hobbies; it can’t be my job in the future. I’m interested in cars, I hope cars can be my major, and I like to get a job about cars, like car designer; car engineer. I think learn some knowledge about cars in North American is better in China, because there are many big car companies in North American. Such as GM; Ford; Chrysler.

I often read some car’s magazine and watch some car’s TV shows to prepare my future job. My life is colorful; I love my life, even though it is so hard sometimes. I want to make my life better by myself.
